I actually just posted a video yesterday on a GBA and I linked your channel because you are so knowledgeable when it comes to gameboy modding. Unfortunately when I ordered my shell and screen kit I didn’t do enough research beforehand and had to trim the shell and it was a nightmare! 😅 but I hope others will learn from my mistake that I pointed out and hopefully people will consult your videos before they make an order lol

Soldering really not bad just takes the right tools and lil practice. I've not dont much but doesnt scare me finally got a decent iron to try now the mod options will be endless.

Honestly I was kinda hoping for a new gba video even tho your most recent one isn't even that old, I just found my old original gba I had when I was a kid and i wanna restore it properly, this will help alot man 🙏

Edit: the ips kit doesn't show the 3 red wires yours comes with, is the listing just not updated or are you using a different kit? still have one ordered but wasn't sure if id need to source my own wires from my own stash lol

I have a gba that i got at a garage sale that wasn’t working because of the power switch so i took it apart and cleaned it with 99% alcohol and gave it a gentle but good cleaning and it powered on. My guess is that it just got buildup of dirt and grime that made the contacts stop working
