The new live action Avatar: The Last Airbender just dropped today on Netflix, but with only 8 episodes, will they be able to fit all of the story in? Or will we end up with another chop shop story?

Idk, I’m more cautious about the structure than the run time. Because from what I can tell they are putting multiple episode plots into one. Also they just go straight from the blue spirit storm episode straight to the north, I feel like there should have been an episode between those big plot events

They're probably gonna cut out a lot of sub-plots not necessary to the overall arch. Meaning we prob won't get a live action "leaves from the vine" moment but lets not ruin perfection 🤧

They aren't cramming in the whole show. They mostly did book 1, covered most of it and most of the stuff they skipped gets mentioned as off screen adventures.

I think even though the runtime may be the same, there will be a lot removed. Each episode in the original is almost it’s own story (which makes sense because that way if a kid missed an episode or two while it was airing on nick, they wouldn’t be super confused on what was happening in the next episode) and to condense 3 episodes into one live action episode would be having 3 mostly isolated story lines beginning and ending in the same episode

Having watched the 8 episodes it feel like so much is skipped and somethings are mentioned but not shown it feels like an abridged version
