I bought one when it was crowd-funded several years ago and put it on my key chain, thinking it would be handy. I find I never use it, maybe twice in 5 (?) years. My Swiss army knife is always in my pocket and is a better driver, and having keys on the ring means it can really only be used for tightening a loose screw, not for driving a new screw into hardwood.

Gerber armbar drive slim has been my edc screwdriver great little tool I find that it a ez reach Bic lighter, 2 (7 1/2) foot lengths of paracord. And a stream light micro cover most things I do everyday. Anything else is covered under the tool kits I built. One is in my backpack built out of the maxpedition micro. The other out of the mexpedition fatboy that lives in my car. Both are typically a short walk away.

I could see 3 to 5 double ended bits on the ring to increase the utility and maybe torque capacity. The add a ranger type band for pocket protection.

So, this is just me I’m assuming, I would get something like this and not use it for 5 years then the one time I could use it I would forget I have it. Not until I’ve already spent the money on something else would i realize my mistake and sit for weeks mentally belittling myself for being so stupid.

I've got 3 of those vessel quick release balls on my tool pack. I take one of em with a bit adapter on my initial inspections, with p2, flat, and Allen bits. Most jobs I can do with that and a 6 1/2 cobra.

Had some gato pocket screwdrivers built really well, really solid pissed I lost the flat head.

I would be interesting to see you put a pencil or a pen through the key ring for extra leverage.
I chose those items because they are often EDC's.
Even a large key would work but perhaps not an essential one just in case you bend it!

My first thought was that you could slip a pencil into that ring and make a slightly off-center T-handle. My second was how that'd be a good way to bend the ring into trash.

Hi Doc, you got me to spend money again. I also thought this was expensive at $12 but after your review I jumped on it. I also looked at the calipers you recommended. With a coupon 25% offered on Amazon and a review by a machinist stating that it was a dam good tool I jumped on the Digital Vernier Caliper Inch/Millimeter/Fraction Measure for $16.98 instead of the $29. I don’t think I’ll get a better deal. Thanks for the heads up.

i used a master link from a bike chain to connect a similar screwdriver to my keychain and i get a little better leverage with it that way.

Gato; Pronounced Gah Toe, Spanish for Cat.
I considered it, but went with The Nub by Maratac. Costs more but works best for my needs.

I'm a sucker for good edc tools, I just bought one! Luckily they haven't seen the video so hadn't raised the price yet!
