When you're happy, you just enjoy the song
but when you're sad, you understand the lyrics

My favorite lyrics: What’s going to be left of the world if your not In it
Every minute of every hour, I miss you I miss you I miss you more

This song came out a little bit after my grandfather died suddenly in my arms. It reminds me of him, especially the "in my thoughts you're far away and you are whistling a melody". It was this day, at this exact time that he died, in my arms, and I'm currently crying. I miss you, papa, and every day I miss you more.

this is one of the most underrated songs imo; I think it's the mix of melancholy and a sorta happy & upbeat vibe

This band is literally my childhood in a nutshell. All I ever did as a kid was listen to them. Now that I’m older I under the lyrics and now instead of dancing to them I cry to them. But somehow I enjoy it because it’s relatable.

When I was younger, I was happy and I enjoyed the music.

Now when I'm older I understand the lyrics.

Especially this part: "Every minute and every hour, I miss you, I miss you, I miss you more." hits hard

I first heard this song around January 2017 when my mother, who was also my best friend, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I was obsessed by it, but I had to banish it from my consciousness because I needed to be hopeful. Still, it called to me, all through her illness. And now that she is dead, I am using it to cope with my grief. The first few times I sing it, I can barely get the words out because I am crying so hard. But after a few times, I can sing it. And singing it, especially the chorus "I miss you, I miss you, I miss you more", gives me release for my seemingly bottomless sorrow. I finally have words to cry out my pain and loss. I miss her so much! And this song totally gets it. There are so many lines that speak to me personally. It totatlly captures this feeling of unbearable loss. And more beautifully, by singing it, I can express those feelings and, hopefully, exorcise them, pay tribute to my beloved mother, and get on with my life. Thank you Bastille for this great gift. The song talks about death and how you should accept it as time passes by... **sigh**

I feel like sence so many people listen to this and feel the bitersweetness of having to say goodbye to someone that the Vibes have rubbed off on to the song. When I listen I hear like all these people's stories like I feel all this sadness even though im not mourning a loss. Ya feel?
