This scene built up so much anticipation in me, but when it finally climaxed I felt true terror because this movie’s writing immersed me so deep I felt terrible for what I was witnessing. Everyone who worked on this movie seriously did a phenomenal job and took Godzilla back to its horrific beginnings of being reminiscent of an atomic bomb. I hope to see the movie in black and white some day, I feel this scene would somehow be even more impactful.
