Outdoor watch review - San Martin Retro Diver SN004-G

Amazing little 38mm retro diver, an homage to the older Rolex Submariner.
I didn't mention a few specs in my review:
It does have the NH35 movement so it has a ghost date position when pulling out the crown.
20mm lugs
13mm thick
120 click bezel

My 6th San Martin watch purchase.... happy with all of them, great watches!

good watch. My only gripe with it is the movement - NH35. It's a good movement too, I have a few of NH35 based watches in my collection - but that's the point - the are everywhere!

Mine arrived last week and like you I just love it, of course a matte ceramic bezel would’ve been preferred. Finishing is exceptional and for smaller to medium wrists it is just the perfect size in my opinion.

I own one of these, it is a nice size and only feels small if I wear it after wearing my Seiko Monster or Bulova Lunar Pilot.

Nice collection. Of late I have been facinated by the Chinese watches. I am going to order this model, it reminds me of a 1953 Rolex Turn-O-Graph I owned - which just became too risky to wear at 70 years old and value. I also ordered the Pagani Explorer II homage, and for grins and giggles ordered a Lige... I want to compare all of the price points. How do you like the Tissel "Explorer"? I am looking for a great example of an Explorer homage, so I can sell my Rlex Explorer. Collecting Chinese watches just seems like a lot of fun without going broke.

I have a 7.5-7.75in wrist that is prone to swelling, so I went with the newer BB58 homage. It almost shocked me how big it felt to wear, and I've had big watches before but something about how wide and flat it was gave it the feeling of a saucer on the hand. I have gotten used to it since, but I do wish they made it just slightly bigger than the retro diver, and that would make it more comfortable for daily wear

The case is 38mm, but the bezel is 39, 5mm (inc. teeth)

Great review. I have 6 inch wrist. I'm concerned about the log end to lug end measurement that it world over hang on my wrist. Thanks.

Domed Sapphire and no ar. I would prefer a more authentic acrylic crystal and an aluminium bezel.
