Just a heads up, I am on the younger side and this is my 10 favorite plays, as in ones that are meaningful to me. I Respect and understand the greatness and impact of things like Langham’s pick six and the goal line stand against PSU, but I just don’t connect with them as much since they were before my time. Thanks for watching and Roll Tide!

The George Teague play vs Miami is my favorite. That 92-93 Bama defense was as good as I have ever seen. Miami had a very good team, were favored by 14 points, but they did not score an offensive touchdown. The number of interceptions Bama had that year might have set a record.

That Drake return when Chris Fowler says “Watch out Kenyan Drake can fly!” Always gets me

Old enough now to have seen 13 NCs by the Tide in my lifetime. 6 by Bear. 1 by Stallings. 6 by Saban. So much joy and so many great and memorable plays it’s hard to pick the greatest. ROLL TIDE!

Very well done. Obviously now we need to add 4th and 31. Also, I'm old so I would like to add the Kick (Van Tifton) and the Sack (Cornelius Bennett) to my list. PS: I saw both of them live!

I got to know Prothro. When I was in college I worked with him when he was at Regions bank. People pestered him all damn day about that catch. He was always friendly to them and smiled and laughed, but behind the scenes it wore him down. He told me he struggled for a while about being forced out of the game due to the injury and struggled with the what if, but he finally met a nice lady and had a beautiful family so it all worked out. He also ended up doing well for himself....maybe not hall of fame money but like I told him he could also play what if he ended up broke like so many NFL players and didn't mature into the man he became. I'll never forget that day because he just laughed and said damn you right.

This is a great list. So glad you remembered Tyrone Protho’s amazing catch behind the back of the Southern Miss defender.
But Let’s be realistic. This program has had way too many incredible moments to limit it to just 5 1/2 minutes. Forget about the fact that it needs to be updated to reflect the 2023 Iron Bowl, there’s still so much missed.
Metchie blistering the Florida defender who intercepted Mac Jones in the 2020 SEC Championship.
Amari Cooper’s 99 yard touchdown reception.
Marcell Dareus intercepting the Texas freshman and throwing him down like a rag doll in the 2009 championship.
Pretty much anything by Shawn Alexander 😂
Cornelius Bennett’s epic sack on the Notre Dame QB.
Van Tiffin’s kicking against Bo Jackson’s Auburn team.
The Goal Line Stand.

That TJ Yeldon play is severely underrated. It boosted his draft stock and also solidified his place as one of the better backs at Bama when fans look back. Also, the media spent that entire year questioning if he could be the bell cow for them. That shut them right up. The entire game was spent kicking the ball as well. The game felt more like a loss till that little shit saw space and took it 😂

We’re so lucky to have had all these great players and teams. I grew up and still live about 30 minutes from Bryant Denny so I’ve got to see some great plays over the years. I couldn’t imagine being a fan of any other school. Roll Tide!!!

The George Teague play, (2:20) running down the WR on Miami and stealing the ball away!!! All-Time play!

I think the Honorable Mention list could have held one more entry...the 1985 Iron Bowl final drive that was mostly Mike Shula to Al Bell in just over a minute from deep in Bama territory, then the incredible 52 yard kick by Van Tiffin. Just...Wow!

King George was a Royal Thief 😁

That’s the best defensive play I’ve seen in 72 years.

Glad to see you got "the strip" from Teague. I was 8 years old when I seen it and it's still jaw dropping

The best play in Bama history is Kenny Stabler’s run in the mud against Auburn. Period. Yeah, I’m an old guy.

There were three or so plays in the Van Tiffin '85 Auburn game that were big on the last drive.
And forgotten game but '98 LSU game when we scored twice with two mins to play to win. Took away a TD pass that became INT, and big go ahead TD with seconds left.
UT '73...Rutledge to Wheeler opening TD pass, then Robin Cary punt return for TD late followed by Wilbur Jackson 80 yd TD run to seal it.
So many memories....

Drake's td was outrageous. I took a bathroom break but heard my wife and oldest son going nuts. One of my favorite memories.

I enjoyed this video!
Now you're gonna have to add 4th and 31.
It's ironic that all Bama fans heard for 3 years was the kick 6. Now, the shoe is on the other foot.
