Our ceiling fell...
Well, we initiated it 🤷‍♀️
We weren't over the moon about what we found after pulling everything down, but, we made our bed, now we must lay in it!
We removed all the lath, plaster and drywall to expose the beautiful hand hewn beams. After everything was exposed we learned that the technique use to connect our joists were through mortise and tenon joints - super cool - but they are not quite as tight as they may have been in the past.
