Needless to say this Camaro is in good hands! Garrett aka Cleetus likes to tear everything apart and put turbos on. This car is a piece of fbody automotive history and a legit time capsule. Enjoy the video!

Hope you enjoy it Justin! For anyone wondering why I’d get rid of it I had no idea what to do with the car lol. I shouldn’t own anything with this low or miles 😂

This car should be in a museum it is so special. If I ever win the lottery I am coming after this car. Thank you for sharing this and the hopefully very rare ride.

Wow Cleetus let this go.. At least it went to a great person that will respect it for what it is! You sir are holding onto a unicorn! Especially #24 Jeff Gordon's number.. and the history that he only signed 33 makes this more of a keeper! I remember reading about these but had never seen one.

I know Matt Murphy and visited the GMMG shop in Marietta, GA several times back in the day. Matt told me the 33 cluster faces were signed down at Daytona during 2001 Speedweek in Dale’s motorcoach…prior to his death. As for the t-tops, I believe all the cars were delivered as closed models, then Matt would convert them if the customer wanted them. They literally cut out the roof, installed the weatherstripping, hardware and glass panels. Not sure about the Earnhardt SSs, but many of the GMMG cars were actually B4C police Z28s and were converted to SSs because, SLP converted all of these off the Quebec assembly line anyway. Why pay the big markup to GM when GMMG was doing even more than SLP to these cars.

BTW…ASC did the mods to the WS6 Formulas and Trans Ams…except for the Firehawks, which were a SLP model.

Absolutely amazing! I love the f body Camaro’s. I just picked up a ss with 6k original miles. I enjoy driving it so much, that I can’t just let it sit. Feel bad driving it, but it’s so enjoyable

A friend of mine had a GMMG Dick Harrell (widebody) 2002 Camaro. It was the stage 3 with a 600 HP C5R motor. I was at his house when Matt Murphy delivered it. Definitely cool memories!

I love GMMG Camaros. The Dale cars look so sinister. My opinion may not be a popular one, but I say drive it some and enjoy it. That is what the car was built for. I don't have anything with crazy low miles like that, but I do have a Mallett Solstice (less then 100 built) and a purple C4 ZR-1 (1 of 25). Alot of people would probably moth ball them, but I drive them whenever the weather is nice. Life is too short not to enjoy them to their fullest. Mileage is just a number

Reminds me of the 2002 Camaro I used to have. It was a former SC highway patrol car car. Had almost 200k miles on it. Everything shook and rattled but boy was it a fun car to drive. Cammed LS1 with headers, 3.90 gears, swapped t56 trans. I upgraded to a G8 but I do miss that car.

I used to have a black, 2001 SS SLP with t tops and manual. Loved that car.

Wow that is absolutely beautiful. I'd kill for that thing. I feel like I hardly ever see them anymore. Always loved them. It be hard to drive it with those low miles. What a gem!!

Congratulations!! The Camaro is beautiful and in with you on this one….just enjoy looking at it in the garage!! Keep the miles low and you will always have something no one else does, haters will always hate cause you won’t drive it but that is people just being jealous!! Congrats again!!

I had a brand new 99 Z28 and when you said brand new F body smell I immediately remembered picking it up from the dealership and what that smell actually smelled like. This thing is nice.

Congrats on the car, and great video as usual. Reminded me of some great memories on the streets of KC watching you race in your red trans am.

Having salvaged 100s of those fbodys I can tell you the car structure is 100% the same from the t top to hard top, only difference is the fiberglass panel on top is full length instead of covering only the hoop
