Do not forget His Benefits...
Praise & Worship God daily.
Psalms 103, 2: Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
This verse of scripture reminds us of two things that can motivate us into true praise and worship of God: knowing Him as LORD, who is above all, and not forgetting all the things He has done for us.
When we forget His benefits, we can easily become ungrateful and drawn away from Him. Rom. 1:28. When we do not forget how he saved us from lions and bears, we have faith to bless Him as we face current Goliaths. I Sam 17:33-37.
Examples of men who forgot the benefits they enjoyed from other men include the chief cupbearer in Egypt, Israelites who forgot Gideon, Nabal, and king Joash. Gen 40:23, Judg. 8:35, I Sam 25:21 and 2 Chron. 24:22. But it is worse to forget the things the Lord has done for us.
