Also only use credit cards that have 4% cash back on purchase that don’t charge fees. Insurance looks at your FICO to determine rates, mine is 801, Nice video Ronen !

I ran a hotshot rig. Had to idle over night for heat and filled back up the next morning. Back when fuel was 2.79, spent $36.00. Apu is the way.

Usually I’m spending 15 US dollars a day on food. I’m prepping meals and also have electric skillet, pot and kettle in the truck.

Another golden rule, get a planet fitness membership for all locations. $25 bucks a month, many are open 24 hours, you can workout and shower there.

This is an excellent video, highlighting the numbers of ways that monthly overhead can be reduced during these difficult and costly times. As we go forward into this recession, and watch fuel prices remain high and loads per mile rates low, it seems a time to re-engineer the way O/Os set up their business models. Used truck prices might crash a bit with more trucks being turned in, allowing for the repurchase of decent used trucks at manageable (versus inflated) prices. Supply chain issues and inflation may bring about some discussion at the federal level on subsidizing fuel costs and/or controlling "race to the bottom" per mile rates for supply chain loads. There also should be more attention paid to insurance rates for O/Os as these seem disproportionately high these days. Perhaps some trucking lobbying groups can work to aggregate insurance coverage under an affordable rate plan for members, the way some other industries do. As this perfect storm of high costs and low load rates hits, we need to determine how to re-engineer the O/O business model...the current models don't work anymore, as we will soon see in the wave of O/O BKs and drivers leaving the business.

Good information good video but I’m still buying a flat nose truck because with a flatbed aerodynamics are out the window.

I found out as a local driver working 12 hrs every day my pay check wasn’t much more .10-11 hrs for me seems to be the sweet spot as far as paying taxes

Thanks Ronnen for your informative advice, I think your trucks are a bit more different from the German machines like Mercedes Benz you only need an hour or less for idle time and that is it and then you are ready to switch off the engine.
