Boomerang POV - Roller Coaster at Worlds of Fun

Located in the Africa section at Worlds of Fun, this classic Vekoma roller coaster was introduced to the park in 2000.

Riders begin by being pulled backward 116-feet, at a nearly vertical state. Once released, Boomerang shoots through the station and flips through a cobra roll and one loop for a total of three inversions. Once complete, the experience repeats itself - but this time - BACKWARDS!

Boomerang features a 935-foot steel track, a height of 116.5 feet and reaches speeds up to 47 mph. Have you flipped back and fourth on this fun roller coaster at Worlds of Fun?

so i’ve always been terrified of upside down rollercoasters/ rollercoasters in general and today i went to worlds of fun and rode this as my first ever upside down rollercoaster and i got over my fear and rode the patriot directly after this and had sm fun

So is this one of the more smoother ones like Zoomerang at Lake Compounce, or does it need the new restraints found on the Flying Cobras at Carowinds and the Sidewinder at Hersheypark?

One of the smoothest Boomerangs I’ve been on, I actually like Boomerangs, can’t wait for this to reopen in 2021. Maybe I’ll get to work at it at some point next year.

I don’t know for sure, but i think this thing is leaving ☹️ if it does I’ll miss it. It’s actually smooth, and I hope they can replace it with a launch coaster or a Rmc coaster!

I don't think this ride will leave. I've heard rumors from a reliable source of the coming changes. These said changes consist of: boomerang getting a new lift and new trains, fury of the nile getting animatronics and geysers, a parking complex, and a proposed giga (not guaranteed though)

My first roller coaster was probably this or the mamba but I hate them mamba cause of the drop but I was littler when I rode the mamba so i don’t remember it

Is it just me or does everyone else stomach not drop when you go backwards. I find it weird ya stomach always drops forwards but not when going backwards. The two coaster I rode that go backwards is the boomerang and the fairy odd coaster at Nickelodeon
