Here’s an idea, 4 years of undergrad followed by a 2 year masters, followed by 1 year of work experience under a CPA. To then take the exams.
That’s 7 years of effort to enter at 70k 55-60hr a week work market.

Pharmacists in the early 2, 000s just needed a 4 year bachelors, zero masters. They earn $70hr.

Lawyer in California? 2 year paralegal associate degree, study under an attorney for 4 years, take the bar 150k+ and starting pay in nyc is 200k.

Accountants are under appreciated.
They’ll soon get a huge pay increase once everyone realizes this.

ACCOUNTANTS NEEED HIGHER WAGES AND LESS SCHOOL! im finishing my BS in accounting right now. I still have to go back to school to reach 150 credits. then I have to study more and get 6000hrs (being dramatic) of experience to get my CPA or CFP OR ANY ceritification. after that I still have to get MORE experience for CPA in order to get in a role where my CPA certification pays off. This is just as much work as a damn doctor. WE ARE UNDER APPERCIATED!

Partners should raise their fees about 20-30%. Then bump up their staff and senior staff pay. Bam, just like that you’ll fix the problem. The only problem is they are greedy bastards and are more focused on turning their 300k into 400k rather than keeping the profession alive. Quite sad
