As a teen I drifted off to this song. I dunno why but I dreamt of a young indigenous boy coming across this huge egg and he takes care of it. It hatches into a giant baby eagle. He raises it. Teaches it to be a part of his village.

Eventually it flies away.

Years later his village falls under attack by rival enemies. Out of the blue as they’re about to get taken over, this colossal eagle at least 6 stories high, flies over the battlefield. It covers the sun and makes the day look like night. It attacks and kills the invading enemy.

The young boy (now a young man), crawls out of the battle, and ends up face to face with this colossal bird. The bird recognizes him and crouches down. They make a deep eye contact.

The video ends with him staring into his bird’s eyes.

When I was a CHILD, My sister put this song on repeat on her BOOM BOX very loudly. After about the 20th rotation, I barged into her room to ask WHAT she was DOING to me. She was not there. She was downstairs, laughing her buttocks off. Song's a banger. Hell yup.

One of my absolute favorites on PURE MOODS, highly underrated. I listen to this on repeat sometimes. There really isn't another song like it 1997 was a very magical time for me. Graduated from high school in May of that year, had one of the best summer's of my entire life, got my first car, started my first job & college in the fall, met my first boyfriend in November 1997...we would make love all night with PURE MOODS playing. No problems, no responsibility. No wars. Life was perfect.

This song is my favorite on this album. When I first heard it as a kid, to me this sounded as it were a message from the souls of the past to the souls of all current living beings. Here's a rough translation I found of the lyrics.:

as beautiful of a song as this is, i had a fuckin nightmarish time on an emergency road trip from Georgia to Texas and back in like the span of a single weekend where i, barely awake and needing to sleep at random hour intervals, would listen to this album to help me sleep. instead i kept waking up during these hour naps in a sleep deprived state, sweaty, and unable to tell how much time has passed. i had basically, in my brain fogged mindset, assumed that the firewalker theme had been going for like half an hour (as i thought i went back to sleep and woken up multiple times when it had only been like 3 minutes that had gone by at that point) and then once that finally ended i got to this and somehow the vibes on it and firewalker being more relaxed than the rest of the album and more "repetitive" in tone added to this sense of lasting forever. i dont associate these two songs with those feelings, theyre both good songs, but every time i hear them i will never forget that uncomfortable point in my life.

I love this song! It takes me back too a Ghostbusters cartoon episode bout how spirit's walked among the living but was unseen and the Ghostbusters trynna restore time... that's what this song remind me of...
