8000 RPM 3800

Testing a new trans in the turbo GP GT. I went wide open throttle at 80mph and finished at 135mph and 8000 RPM.

Impressive and finally a good sounding 3800. Reminds me of a few good sounding GN's that used to roam the streets near me.

Wow... nice build. My last car was an 04 GP and it struggled to hit 5500-6000 rpm lol. Those 3800s just don't seem to rev well. They're all torque. Its crazy to see one hit 8k rpm.. It almost sounded Supra like.. ;)

@declaratedvet The red Cobalt did 475 at the wheels. The black Cobalt has been over 600, but broke the stock block in half soon after.

I had a 3800 turbo and 8000 RPM is VERY IMPRESSIVE

People don't know that 3.8 are pretty much the best engines out there last forever even with a supercharger like the gtps there sleepers me and my brother raced a cammed v8 cutlass starting at 65 with just a tuned computer and were just slightly pulling ahead but had to slam the brakes cause a Honda got in the way

What kind of exhaust system is that thing running? I have a GTP and all the exhaust systems I have looked at sound crappy. This one is like music!!!
