Don't Starve Together Single Player is a Nightmare

Don't Starve Together is a fun, sophisticated survival crafting game that gets updated much more frequently than it's single player predecessor, Don't Starve. Yet there's some complications that come with that, as you've probably inferred from the title DST is not tailored around solo play. Which leads to some issues, like bosses.. resource generation.. and even game performance being impacted for the worse. So if you wanted to get in on new stuff being added to the game like the latest update but still wanted to go solo.. what can you do to alleviate the design?
Here's some settings you can adjust and mods you can try.. to circumvent DST's naturally multiplayer nature. Or in other words, here are some Don't Starve Together tips.

About what you said at the end with DLCs, there's a chance you know about this but there is a mod named, "Island Adventures" which brings a pretty amazing port of shipwrecked over to don't starve together. You should check it out sometime I've had lots of fun with it.

I've played solo DST for so long that bosses feel way too squishy in base DS with their health pool lol.
Seriously, the difference is huge - DS dragonfly has 2750 HP while DST Dragonfly has 27500 HP.

What I WISH DS had and they will never bring to us IS an UI overhaul like they did with Together. I just think the menus are horrible in DS for controller.

Any tips on actually not starving together? Like, when playing Minecraft or Terraria or some other multiplayer/singleplayer survival game, you can just start a playthrough when you've got a few friends that are interested. But that's not really an option if you don't have friends who are interested in DST. And joining random available servers ain't exactly ideal. So, what can be done? Is there a discord or something that could help with this? I've only ever really played alone, except for showing up to random servers to be a log factory for a few minutes as Wormwood.

I personally think the methodical health of enemies is a good part of dst and I love it

When i play solo i made a mod to reduce some expensive recipe’s because sometimes it just gets tedious

DST is a roguelike game and this game is the epitome of survival game. This is not minecraft. If you are weak to play DST alone, just play don't starve. Simple.
Any person who use mods to cut time, slack and effort do not know what is DS/DST means they can go argue to me about anything but in the end of the day.

Bro imagine having to reduce enemys health, that would be embarrasing. I been playing this game solo for a year now i got better and better with time and practice
