The fact that 300 dollar phones have 90-120hz and apple couldn't put it on the base iphone 15 and 15 plus is wild to me, and dont bring up the fact that most people wouldnt care, or for the battery, most phones that come with that on the android side come with it disabled and you enable it yourself, so they couldve done the same thing. 830 dollars for 60hz is absolutely criminal, and no one should be defending it.

YouTubers keep saying "glass back looks premium". Just give me a plastic phone, that doesn't weigh like a brick and doesn't shatter, please.

In my opinion, having all those top end specs on the S24 is great, but how often is it used. At the end of the day. I mostly text, browsing and taking pictures. So I went for the A35, quite happy with the phone.

Nowadays midrange phones are fast now an tbh if you just use ur phone for texting an all like for doing the basic stuffs anything over 500$ is a waste imo

Would be interesting to see a comparison between the A35 and the S23 FE series (or S24 FE when that comes out). 🤔

what i noticed most between the A35 and S24 camera's is that the S24 footage looks a lot more yellowish, whilst the A35 looks a lot more natural. weird

Performance. That's the difference. Cheaper is

3:54 The predecessor to the A35 did not have a metal ring around the holepunch, but a teardrop notch for the selfie camera.

Honestly the performance makes all the difference. All my life I have primarily stuck to budget phones with the last one being Samsung M51. Switched last year to S23+. Where the performance really comes in handy is, I do all my payments and travel ticket bookings through the phone. So there have been times when I am running late and I have to do a train or bus booking at the very last minute. The zippy performance from s23+ has saved the day for me on multiple occasions. Just flying through the options and most importantly, no freezes or app crashes. So, yes if you can afford the extra asking price of the flagship, go for it..makes life a lot more convenient.

I am running Dex on my old galaxy s9, so I don't believe it's the processor, Samsung is just reserving this feature for the S Series for now..

I sent the a35 back as it was too heavy and felt slow compared to my pixel 6a. got a deal on the pixel 8 and its creamy smooth and is lightyears ahead in terms of user experience. found the a35 was very heavy and chunky

Hey Mike, thanks for the comparison. Really helps us make better decisions with our money.

It's just that we are getting at that point where technology as we know it has reached its limits in advancement. Therefore, the gap between a mid-range and top tier are just the extras like a gaming chipset, wireless charging, material, etc

I personally don't see the 700 difference in the tech we care: camera.

I can't mention performance because it seems okay, not everyone is a gamer.

I would go with this phone and get a pocket camera anytime.

Was waiting for your review for another comparison mike! Yup def getting my mom the A35 instead of the flagship. Its Cheaper, and honestly she won't/need the glitz and Glamour of the flagship. And she wont know the difference either. Haha

I would really love if we got away from the glass back phones. I would gladly trade wireless charging for not having to put a case on.
