This point, standing up not just for himself, not just for his family, not just for his planet, but for all Saiyans across two Universes, is where the Prince became the King for me. He might never be the hero of the story, but Vegeta is one of the most well developed characters in fiction.

This theme sent shivers down my spine and brought tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat, why you might ask? Because I grew up with 'The Prince Of All Saiyans' and seeing him evolve and fight for someone other than himself and what he was gonna lose. Sure Gokus stronger and the MC but he'll never have the love we fans have for Vegeta.

It would’ve really shown some serious character growth if Goku was swapped out for Vegeta in Super’s final bout. The Prince would have to work with 17 and more importantly Frieza to save universe 7. Could you imagine? Goku would’ve actually been eliminated after MUI ran out just to give the trio a fighting chance in the last act. That would’ve been incredible.

Vegeta was always an interesting character, his entire character arc shaped who he became. From a warrior who wanted nothing more but to be the strongest in the universe, filled with the thoughts that he was the prince, and wouldn't think of protecting anyone, to crashing through his limits by keeping a promise.


He doesn't fight for fun anymore, he fights to protect those he cares about. Trunks, Bulma, Bulla, and even Cabba, have shaped who he is now, a man who will not let his pride get in the way of what his character arc has led him to be.


Vegeta is a GOAT, a god, my favourite character in all anime history. Close second is saitama.

Vegeta deserves a real plus on his power-ups, I mean when he trains or pass through a Zenkai, he is not only increasing his level as Goku or any other Saiyajin, but he is waking up the royal lineage on his cells, I'm happy for Goku using the Ultra Instinct and also the fact that they have the intention to give Vegeta a new power level, but honestly they should have done better than just a new hair color.
