So for those curious *why* its like this. Heres a few quick Q&A's!

Q: why dont they send a robot
A: this is because robots do not exist anymore, many years before the current time in the setting they grew sentient and tried to overthrow humanity in what is called the men of iron rebellion.

Q:Why dont they fix the design?
A: this is because of the fact in the 41st millennium improvements to technology is USUALLY seen as tech heresy by the mechanicus who worship the machine god called the omnissiah, and tampering with those designs is usually them like saying gods design is imperfect. Granted this is slowly changing with for example primaris marines now existing
