Zionist Federation President Jeremy Leibler says Australia’s “hypocrisy is staggering” after voting for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas at the United Nations.
Mr Leibler sat with Sky News host Sharri Markson to discuss how the decision for the government both to condemn Hamas and call for the return of hostages contradicts their choice to support a ceasefire.
“Unfortunately that’s nothing new for the United Nations,” he said.
“But what’s disappointing is that Australia has compromised its position as a respected middle power and to buy into this hypocrisy.
“This is something that the Greens would do.”
