DoorDash has a 15-20% up charge on all menu items, plus a service fee, plus a driver tip, plus a fee based on distance that’s hidden in the service fee. Calling the place directly means no up charge, no service fees and the driver gets the full tip.

Terry has the spine to handle the call, this is worthy of admiration in this day and age.

Uber and doordash both take their cut you know. And as soon as one is able to strangle the competition, they'll take a much bigger cut.

Everibody already pointed it out, but terry is the normal one in this situation. He saves some money (not paying all sorts of fees, and possibly getting free delivery), he doesn’t pay a useless middleman and he directly supports a local business. The only time it makes sense to use a delivery app is if the place doesn’t do delivery, or if you don’t have cash. Otherwise, don’t use delivery apps.
