Oberheim OB-X8 Preset Demos

I'm always reluctant to post something in prototype form. When I had this unit it was sonically pretty close. Obvious at a glance are the knobs and 3D printed bender box levers. The synth itself sounds great and such a dream to play with a nice modern key bed.

Why would you keep the Vintage knob at zero for every patch? That's why everyone's saying it doesn't sound alive enough, you gotta get that control involved to bring out the more organic character I think.

Trying to get a feeling of the dimensions of this unit but it’s really hard to tel from the videos. Would you mind sharing them?

Because this synth ships without effects people are playing it without effects - big mistake. Synths need reverb as a bare minimum to come alive.

I was going to save up for an OB-6, but this synth just cut the line to take my 💰; OB-6 will have to wait it's turn.

Why the hell is the pitch bend working the wrong way round, it should be pitch up when moved towards you!!!. 😱😱😱
