20대에 TV에서 본 영화, Deer Hunter 지금까지 숱하게 많은 영화를 봤지만, 유독 마음속 깊숙히 간직하고 있는 정말 보석같은 영화다. 영화중에 친구들끼리 당구를 치면서 흥겁게 이 노래를 듣고 따라 부르는 그 장면을 아직도 잊지 못하고 있다.

This film also holds a special meaning to me in living in Southwestern Pennsylvania. A lot of times we hear coming of age films in it's in reference to teenagers. I can't help but to call this a coming of age film because how much the characters changed from the innocence of the bar scene to the horrific end. The scene of the bar was so innocent before the rose turned upside down. I'm finally with Michael pulls up on his shot at the deer. It's like he had seen too much death and just couldn't do it anymore. The other scene that really makes a lot of sense after the film is the "fuck it" scene in the bar. The wry smirk the soldier gave them was telling them "you guys have no fucking idea what you're in for". My most favorite film of all time. Thank you for this mashup.
