Weird and Unsettling Black Metal

Time to check out some very strange and sometimes creepy Black Metal songs!
With the help of my community and my own music collection I've picked some pretty interesting things.

Well, the guy behind Emit and Hammemit was Michael Morthwork, who was an important part of the Order of Nine Angles (O9A).
He actually dug up corpses and impaled their heads on sticks in the woods ... so ... yeah. He might be slightly crazy.

What I like about Farvann videos, is how they feel: like an old friend of mine learned something new and tells me everything about it, so I could know it too. I just couldn't go away from new video without a comment, really) I feel so greatful, so I comment almoust every one

I love Gnaw Their Tongues. Mories creates a vivid soundscape with each entry, this album being one of my favorites

I'm glad to see Imperial Triumphant get as much love as they have, they dropped my favorite album of 2022 and I'm going to see them at the end of January, I can't wait

The self titled album from the band Endless Dismal Moan is some highly recommended depressive black metal, with slight death metal influence, highly recommended for fans of Xasthur, Mutiilation or Emit (also rip Chaos 9)

I'll throw Abruptum and Endless Dismal Moan onto the list. I suppose this could easily turn into a 3 hour collection. Great video!

Dictius Te Necare is literally the best 2nd Wave BM album, absolutely uncompromisngly raw, the single most batshit vocal performance ever, groove that bleeds into monotonous passages in a way like no other BM band has ever quite managed. God I love it.

Deathspell Omega - Si monumentum requires circumspice. First Prayer literally scared me the first time I heard it, and Sola Fide I and II kept the unsettlement very high.
That is the only album that actually literally scared me.
Honorable mentions for: Axis of Perdition and Diapsiquir.

Entrance Into Nothingness by Xasthur gave me the chills the first time I listened to it. I listened to it in the dark and it started to feel like something was in the room with me.
