I saw your song on the youtube ads, decided to not hit skip ad, glad I didn't. I'm not gay or trans myself but I have friends that are, I'm all for lgbt+ rights. It doesn't matter who you love, as long as that person makes you happy. I've also homed a few friends of mines in the past because of who they are. Love is love. ❤️💛💚💙💜

My family accepted me who i am when i came out. Especially my mom and dad. As an asian ppl dont accept being gay in my country. But my family never care about it. They just care my happiness. 😭 Thanks for this song. I love it 💖💖💖

Oh Brandon! What are you doing, this is the second day in a row you've made an old man cry! Both the song and video are beautiful, now I know why you and Ty both had teared up in your reaction. Keep on with what you do, and I hope the love you spread will help change hearts and minds.

Hi Brandon, we went to school together and I randomly found a yearbook and saw your picture and remembered you were always so talented and I just had an idea to look you up, not expecting this… but wow. Brought me to tears. You’re just as talented as I remember. Thanks for sharing your gift!

When you reject your own children for whatever reason, you take their heart: "you, " who gave them life. A parent's love should be unconditional.

I’m crying at this. It’s a beautiful video and a beautiful song. I live in the UK and two of my grandsons are gay, and don’t think of them any differently to my other grandchildren.
I watched the video of you watching this with Ty last night. I think you are both incredible. Love to you 😘😘

This song is currently on repeat for me. Its a good kind of sad that I think any gay boy from a smalltown with a resentful family can understand. Thanks for putting this into words. Thank you for your message and this video. Going into Chirstmas and Thanksgiving and going back home with my boyfriend is going to be hard but this divinely plopped into my life at the right time and is so inspiring. Thanks Brandon.

Brandon - can you add subtitles to the video? Even the talking bit? I am Deaf but can hear some with hearing aids and I can connect to words while reading the subtitles and understand what is being said/sung...

I share a tear I admit it. I just can't believe that these things still happen in 21'st century everywhere. Great song! Love Brandon:)

not for nothing... but you needed to go. It's hard, it sucks so much... I know, in many ways I lived it... But I had to go. I would not have survived if I had not. There's a better loving life out there if we can manage to leave the bigotry, ignorance & hate behind. I hope everyone finds that strength... to endure until they can live their life on their terms & not on those of the ones who failed to love us like they should.

May you continue to find that life.

I lost both my parents when I came out in 1994 . My parents died in 2019 and I wasn't allowed to attend there funerals. People need to understand love has no gender. I cried my eyes out when I listened to this song. Sad there are still people out there that think this way today. Be strong and own your truth.

This was the conversation in my church went. At seventeen I was banned from church. Thank you Brandon. My adoration of you is endless. There were no gay out singers when I was a teenager. I love and support you. Nothing but kindness and love brutha

We can't change where we started out at, but we can change where we end up at. I live on the other side of the planet from my hometown and love my life here where the people don't have an anti-gay bone in their bodies. For all of the people who have to deal with such hateful self-righteous people, know that you don't have to. You can leave and start over somewhere new and better. It just takes making yourself a good plan and then building up the courage to follow it through.

I love this. I left home at 18 immediately after graduating high school. My parents at birth were crap and slept with everyone in town, rarely each other, but I was a disgrace. The "family" I ended with are far superior than what I started out with. I blame those little self appointed southern preachers for half the wrong in the south and those too stupid and scared to confront. Love this song AWESOME, and so very true.

As a queer kid I am immensely grateful for how accepting my parents, sister, and church are. (School and grandparents need a little work).

Hi Brandon,

Words cannot express how much your song has touched my heart. I left home at 15 after being disowned by my father and stepmother for being gay. I, unfortunately have not had the experience of those parents learning to love me as I am, but maybe one day that will happen. Thank you for being brave enough to share your story as you are not only sharing your story, but the stories of so many like me. I have watched this video so many times and cried, but it's almost a cleansing cry to know that I'm not the only one that carries this exact pain. Thank you.
