"...with some other cool products that are down the pipeline..." *Wink*
Just say it Chris! Hobby King 3D desktop printer on it's way, with an Arduino controller at Hobby King prices! And you're totally sending one to me! Yay!

I've seen these things used by experienced users, and the results still look like a dog's dinner.  If you "draw" on a silicone mat, you get one good side and one corduroy side.  The main purposes I can see for one is to "edit" what you produce on a 3D printer, to re-form a broken screw riser or other piece within an existing part, (followed by some finish milling with a Dremel tool) or if you just want to plastic-weld something shut, like a battery pack you had to hack open to replace worn-out rechargeable cells.

So i am hearing the Turnigy 3d printer that was teased a few months ago is coming at an awesome Hobbyking low low cost for every one is just around the corner. Bought the pen, thinking I will be able to use it to prototype a quick frame for what I need and I can get the measurements and make a 3d model from there.

Looks like a sign Sponge Bob would have made for the new HK warehouse in Bikini Bottom. I say we leave the 3d printing, or "drawing" to the machines.

Maybe you could demo it next time for us? This is a video after all, which I believe would be a great platform for a demo. He explained how to 3d draw in the air but for some strange reason you didn't actually press the button. The example you showed certainly does not show quality.
