Bugatti Chiron: 0-200mph in 16 seconds!

This isn't a scientific test (no timing gear, just the speedo), and these aren't definitive figures (wheelspin on the less-than-perfect surface), but here's what the 1479bhp Bugatti Chiron can do when you give it full throttle. Full video review coming soon…

The Chiron is actually faster than this! These numbers are taken from the speedo, not from timing gear. And the surface was less-than-perfect – note the wheelspin. So imagine what it can do in ideal conditions. Officially it's 2.5 seconds to 62mph, and then on to a limited top speed of 261mph…

The speed is amazing. But the lack of noise and vibration (could be the footage not giving a proper representation) is what is amazing me.

Clearly, grip was a problem - the speedo went from approx 100 back to 70.... sounds good imo

this was so effortless. Like it can wake up from the bed and do a dash to 300kmph and go back to sleep. Thats what makes me like this car. What it can achieve is not such a big thing then how it achieves it. In the most undramatic manner. Rest of the cars would be screaming, vibrating their nuts off, in the effort to have such a performance. So cant wait for the full review.

My car takes more time from 0-100km/h than Chiron takes to 320km/h lol

Bugatti recently released the official figure for the Chiron:
0-100 km/h - 2.4 sec
0-200 km/h - 6.1 sec
0-300 km/h - 13.1 sec
0-320 km/h - 17.1 sec
0-400 km/h - 32 sec

The latter is impressive when seeing from the camera hooked on another Chiron to give the perspective. So 0-400-0 km/h in less than 60 seconds is possible.

Oh my god, the Chiron just exploded on YouTube. My frontpage is full of videos of it, the oldest of which is only three days old. Seriously, Drivetribe, Sunday Times Driving, Carfection and Autocar have all posted videos about the Chiron these past days! Crazy!

Most cars cannot run a 1/4 mile in 16 seconds and under 100 miles per hour and this beast is twice as fast at 200 mph in just over 16 seconds.

Autocar tested the Veyron SS with 22.2 sec. from 0-200 mph. 6 seconds faster than that, not even considering the traction issues at the start, are not bad i think. The acceleration from 150mph + ist just insane.

Chiron need better tires, for better traction on 1st and 2nd gear because in 120km/h still blinking traction control and after time will be better 1-2 secunds. Official time is 0-100km 2, 5s 0-200km 6, 5s and 0-300km 13, 6s Sorry for my english.

The Hennessey venom gt did it in 14.5 but considering how refined and luxurious the Chiron is, that time is a very impressive time.
