I've been living in Japan for 4 years now. Waited until opening day to watch Oppenheimer. It was amazing, of course, but it was the first time that I saw so many people immediately leave the theater right after the credits started to roll. Usually, the vast majority will wait for all the credits to finish before leaving. It was a pretty hard watch to be fair.

I was watching a movie in Japan recently and they played a preview for Oppenheimer and I did feel a little awkward about that, along the lines of Che's joke.

“Steve Austin, a man barely alive. We can rebuild him…” I watched “The Six Million Dollar Man” as a young child. I thought it was hilarious, but Oscar Goldman was my favorite character on the show. Then, along came “The Bionic Woman.” Jaime Sommers could open a can with her fingernails! Besides those who built her, Steve Austin and her mum, no one else knew about her secret life. They were both really fun television shows in the 1970’s. I loved the sound that Lee Majors’ character, Steve Austin made whenever he ran, etc. I was 7 when the show started, and enjoyed how fascinated my younger brothers were whilst we watched the show together.
