FlossTube 113: Confessions of a Series Stitcher & how it started. Also a let’s laugh at Barb story

My entry charts were Little House Needleworks, then I moved on to Prairie Schooler, New York Dreamer, Brenda Gervais. Before long, I was diving into so many other series. I was out of control!

One day I looked in my storage cabinet and saw things that I only enjoyed for a few days each season. I thought to myself, this is insanity. I could stitch one all season larger piece in the time I spent stitching and finishing all these monthly things.

So while “never say never” has always been my motto, I hope to complete the series I have in progress and fight off temptations to start new ones. Now of course if I come across those Quaker pin pillow charts, all bets are off for how long I can resist.

Thank you for sharing your series. I do like a good series. Sometimes I will only stitch certain pieces that fit in my decor. There are no rules. You reminded me of some pieces that I have started and need to complete. 😊

Great video! Your finishes are amazing. I get what you’re saying about every time you turn around it’s time to change decor. At least seasonally things get to stay out a little longer. Thanks for sharing everything, even the goof up with the names. 😊

The Primrose seasonal pieces are a good choice as they don’t have words identifying the month/season. I have only stitched the Valentines piece and have the 4th of July. I will probably pick up the rest one at a time as that season approaches. Your finishes are always so creative. Thanks for sharing.

I came to the realization this year that there are several of the monthly Prairie Schoolers I don’t like as well. And as a result I was giving myself permission to skip the ones I don’t like. Juju is my favorite so far.

You have done SO much stitching! Those larger monthly PS pieces are no joke! I had to go order the Winter Time chart when I saw yours. I remember when you and Leann both stitched that and I thought it was so pretty. I am guessing you had a lot of fun making this video with all your creative touches.
