The only reason I laugh at this scene is that if you didn't know James fell asleep during this scene and woke up alone on set while everyone was at lunch

To me, this death was the saddest one. A sister lost her brother. Two parents lost their son. People lost their friend. And a twin lost his equal.

The beauty of this is that when Molly saw the boggart, she saw each of her family members being hurt in turn. But Fred and George were together, because not even in her worst fears where they separated.

What really breaks my heart is Molly in this scene. She's trying to stay strong and comforting to her other sons. She strokes her lost son in mourning and uses the other hand to comfort Ron.

JK Rowling has actually admitted crying when she was writing Fred's death.

Really sad fact: during filming for Fred's death, the actor who played George (who's name slips my mind, it's 2:00 am, so sue me) could only do one or two takes because even pretending his brother was dead was too emotionally draining for him. Also, when its revealed that Harry's alive after the whole forest thing, George turns to tell Fred only to realize he's got no one to tell.

I think Fred's death was sadder in the book because of how it happened just after he gave Percy his approval for unexpectedly making a joke, and then Percy's reaction to him being killed was heart-wrenching - finally, after months of estrangement, they were on the same side again, even fighting side by side, and with all that time lost, suddenly his brother's gone, and you know it's not just grief but intense remorse that has Percy refusing to leave Fred's body, not caring if it means he'll be killed, too.

... and Fred's eyes stared without seeing, the gost of his last laugh still etched upon his face.

While this scene is sad and I bawled my eyes out, it made me so angry how short it was. In the book, it had such a huge impact on me because they dwelled on it unlike in the movie where you see him for two seconds and then it's onto something else. It just makes me mad because both Cedric and Dobby got longer death scenes and they were only in one/two movies whereas Fred was in all of them. I just think he deserved more.

JK said that it was always the plan for Fred to die. It was supposed to be impactful and unexpected to the readers. I think the only two safe from death characters were Harry and Hermione. Even Ron was on the chopping block once, although JK said that she wasn't in a good place in her life when considering killing Ron. Pretty much like any last book in a series, it tells its readers that no one is safe. This death was a true shock to me though,  before getting to the last quarter of the book, I thought the Weasley family was all gonna be safe.

According to me, Fred's and Snape's death are the saddest in all HP...

George: You okay, Freddy?
Fred: Yeah
George: Me too.

What kills me the most is how George hugs Ron. even though the twins poked fun at Ron, that moment proved that George loved him so much and he needed a shoulder to cry on this time. He needed his little brother. Then, Georges face is totally indescribable and heart breaking. I cried when I was reading the book, but seeing the expressions is really a whole different experience.

When I read this part years ago I tossed the book against the wall and felt like flying to England and Have a serious word with JK.
I then composed my self and continued reading with a broken heart. Lol

If I could choose one death, out of all the deaths in every Harry Potter book, to take back, it would be Fred. How did poor George ever smile again?

George without Fred is like Ash without Pikachu, Spongebob without Patrick, and Arnold without Gerald.

Ron breaking down over Fred's body is the saddest moment in the movie. His pure grief over losing his closest brother. Rupert is a phenomenal actor.

Also Hermione there in the background in shock, wondering how she can ever be strong enough for Ron. Ron loves his family so much and Hermione knows that a part of his heart broke with Fred's death.
