Some people are complaining that this OLED television doesn't have Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision is an HDR standard that uses dynamic metadata. The aim is to give you better visuals and improve the image quality. Dolby Vision is not as important to me as having Dolby Atmos, Surround Sound.

This 2022 Samsung OLED has Dolby Atmos. Dolby Atmos being able to create a near real-life listening experience from a movie, video game, or film recording makes it absolutely worth it. This object-based audio system takes surround sound to a whole new level by creating a 'bubble' in which sound comes from all angles.

Get over yourselves; if you don't like the new 2022 Samsung OLED, don't purchase one. Some people complaining on here about this television not having Dolby Vision probably cannot afford this television and are still living at home. 😁 I've ordered the new 2022 Samsung OLED Television directly from Samsung and I am very excited. I don't care about gaming. I like to watch movies, series like Supernatural, and sports on HBO-Max, Starz, Showtime, Epix, Encore, Netflix, Tubi T.V., Crackle T.V., and Amazon Pride. I wish I had this television to watch the Duke vs. UNC at Chapel Hill game last weekend on T.B.S.

Samsung had OLED tv in 2013... it was true RGB OLed (not the LG stack with wRGB filter) - Samsung KN55S9C.

People need to understand it only gets 1500 nits in vivid. It will he right around 1k nits in its movie/accurate modes that we will all be watching on. So please please don't be bummed every company announces brightness numbers based on vivid mode. It is not I repeat it is not going to be 1500nits except for in vivid mode lol

I had the first Gen Sony Oled and traded for their 2nd generation. I love the Oled picture quality. If this picture rivals that of the Sony or LG, this may be a great option. I like the rechargeable remote. Only thing- my Sony has a built-in subwoofer and the sound is terrific. I would stick with Sony if another brand has poor sound.

Any early thoughts on pic quality vs other Oled competitors?

I saw it ces and wasn't the finish product, and it was still better what have seen from A90j and the Samsung qn90b by far .Mini led don't even come close.

Can you compare Dolby vision content on this TV (i.e. via HDR10 fallback) vs on a TV that does support it like a C2/G2?

As a series x owner, I don’t see myself buying this tv over Sony or LG simply because it doesn’t support Dolby vision hdr
