Finally got to work resurrecting and restyling these two derelict 1991 Honda ez90s

​ Is there a chance you could please give me a little information? I'm working on one of these right now that has a fuel supply issue. According to the design I suspect that they're not fully a gravity feed system? It's running as though fuel is just trickling into the bowl, so it runs well for a few seconds and then after that It starves for fuel from mid to full throttle. But after sitting again giving the bowl a chance to fill it runs perfect again for another few seconds. I inspected the tank, the petcock, took the carburetor apart and inspected all the jets and the float valve, and everything is immaculately clean. So again, I'm suspecting that it's not a purely gravity fed system, and that there's some sort of mechanism assisting in supplying fuel to the carb?I also noticed a little white plastic canister that's plumbed into the carburetor, I'm not sure what that's for either. I'd really appreciate any help or advice you could give me on this.
