I met Robert Smith at Kennedy Airport, no security, no bodyguards, just him, he was very soft spoken with a great sense of humor.
We talked for about an hour before he had to board his flight for London and I had to get on my flight back to Denver.
And I kick myself for not asking for an autograph!😮

I grew up listening to hard and heavy rock and then metal, but once I heard The Cure I realized that they were one of the top ten bands EVER!

Its also named after a line from a Nick Drake song called Time Has Told Me, "A troubled cure for a troubled mind", in which Smith cited Nick Drake as an influence.

Most of my teen years were spent with Robert wailing in my ear. I was lucky enough to see them on the wish tour. Large parts of my soul sounds like their songs now. Thank you Mr. Smith.

This band, The Cure. So many memories from first love on a Florida beach, to driving round town with a best friend, to the very last high school hangout before we all split ways for college and life. Then songs sung to my infant kids as I held them sleeping. And one particular song that speaks volumes to so many loves and loved ones. Yall strike the chord, thank you for the memories.
