No. Because in S2 a man found a girl living in a car. later that episode (or a few episodes past by) a man gave her a invitation card to the squid games (the card that has a square, a triangle and a circle) It was not a card to be a player but a guard. Later episodes. The women that was a guard was called by the officer and the officer said "when I first found you in the streets in that car" (maybe that what he said) so the man that saw her in the car was the officer. so it's not by the salesman. It's when you're lucky.
