Tiny lesbian gecko army gets first enclosure upgrade

A new bioactive enclosure paradise for some Hawaiian Mourning Geckos. Most reptiles suffer when cohabitated but these gals cant relate; Lepidodactylus lugubris thrive in groups. They are parthenogenetic and reproduce without a mate, but feel more inclined to do so when in good company. I designed a terrarium style jar for them to get settled in but they're quickly out growing it. So today, we are making them a much larger plastic tub style setup decked out with substrate, leaf litter, wood, springtails, hardscape, uvb, and basking spot they need to thrive in their teenage years. Oh, dear goddess, I love mourning geckos. I've been trying to set up a terrarium for a couple years. Gad a real nice ferny environment set up but my isopods ate it 😱Now I'm going to use pothos and stuff hoping it'll last longer. Anyway, yeah, what everyone else said, it's treat to see this and keep on keeping!

Nice set up! I have six of these. Three adults in a five gallon tea dispenser that I turned into a terrarium. The babies are growing out in a gum ball machine turned terrarium. You do you and try to ignore the negative!

I call my mourning geckos lesbians also since they are. I considering getting them a lil lesbian flag. I tried to be a lesbian for a bit myself but wasn't for me, going with the opposite ATM (gay [trans] guy)

The jaramium being the "wrong size"... That looks to be around similar size to what cliff's reptiles suggestsr babies for same reason... Along with other videos of experienced reptile keepers on here. and you clarified in the video that it was for their young stage only... New to reptile community but really over the folk in community who crap on others like that 😵‍💫
