I loved this! I watch birds from my 3rd-floor sill for long periods of time & can see the Cardinals engaging in a pre-mating ritual! They’re so beautiful, along with the many other New England birds. Thank you! I love this little series! How I wish we were neighbors.

Very informative, and I appreciate the oversimplification. Best video for starters.

1:23 "Nobody's playing tricks on each other out here, except for the predators." Must be nice to trust your own species.

I have aways noticed/heard/love birds. and I didn't notice before that when a hawk come, I get so enraptured in what the hawk is doing that all the other noises have disappeared. i couldn't hear because my eyes were watching so hard. i can't wait to pay attention to everything else next time. thank you for all that you have done. You are definately on my top list of people I could ever hope to have the honor of crossing paths with.. much respect. Blue Heron are what really get my heart pounding. but hawks eagles turkeys all others i love too.

Hi. A robin made a nest at eye level, directly next to a high traffic area in my yard. I avoid it as much as possible but I terrify the poor thing regularly. I hung a feeder and put a bath about 15 feet away as a peace offering and I always pretend it didn’t scare the dog snot out of me when it shrieks and flutters away as I pass...not every time, so it’s often a shock, I try to ignore it and don’t look at the nest. Any other suggestions? Tho truth be told, the gas guy came out unannounced and started up a grinder and then hit the thing with spray paint. RIGHT ACROSS FROM NEST, I guess if it’s still there maybe we’re good. 🤷‍♀️. Thanks for cool video.

I think we should start and deal much about our nations. As humans later all these won't matter.

I was wondering how to prevent my cat from attacking birds. The other day, she attacked a bird and when I heard the birds screaming, I opened the door and there was my cat with a bird in its mouth. There were several medium-sized birds, as well as, a few larger black crows watching my cat and they were all chatting with each other. I live in Lake County, CA with a huge and diverse population of bird species which poses a threatening temptation for my cat. Oh, and by the way, this is Danielle Santopietro from Holmdel. If you are anywhere in the vicinity of Lake County, we would love for you to visit and perhaps, speak with our cat directly. 😉
