Do you think Devin will be a huge help to the Spurs offense? Thanks for watching and GO SPURS GO!

Hopefully the team can stay healthy until Jones and Sochan is back also. I want to see how good they look at full strength.

I like Malakai taking a bit of a back seat so we can see Wesley and what he can do. Wesley/Castle are a better fit next to Devin and CP3 to keep some more defense

I think that this team does need to play with pace. Our best quality is passing, which means pace is essential to get more opportunities to pass. We can't just do half court offense

Interesting theory regarding Paul's impact on Wemby's play, how running more half-court sets is impacting Wemby's game, eliminating surprise, allowing the defense to get set. Something to keep an eye on for sure. At this point, Wemby's not really a half-court player because he doesn't have that half-court go-to move to keep the defense honest. When I was a kid, I remember watching Tim Duncan's first playoff game against Phoenix, and he poured in 33 points, much of it off the left block, with Phoenix sending multiple defenders from Hot Rod Williams to Antonio McDyess. Not saying Wemby should play the same way, but it would be nice if he diversified that shot chart a little. No one is going to yell at him for taking a midrange shot every now and again, that's for sure.

The fuel of the Spurs is Wemby, the offensive motor is Devin and the defensive motor is Sochan. When they are all back on the court it will be much easier for Wemby

About the offensive struggling, I would add that the Spurs have faced solid defenses, Houston (X3) Dallas and OKC are top 4 in defensive ratings for example.

I think the Spurs are definitely slower on offense with Chris Paul leading it, but I do think he is helping them play smarter so the trade off is not bad. It will be awesome to see both in affect (speed and smarts) when Paul is on the bench. I have seen flashes of it. Wemby will adjust as the season progresses, but right now he looks lost. He is looking to pass even when he has a mismatch on the low block. He needs to make a move and if the double comes then pass...also he needs to quit chunking up threes everywhere!

I don't think that Vassel will help Wemby as he played his best games last year in April (Vassel out).
I just don't understand how Wemby is currently playing (he is never in the paint... I am sure that he will never get a 3-second sanction !!!). Is it asked by the management to see if he can play Small Forward ??
In march/april last year, Wemby was driving, getting lots of FT (between 7 and 12 against the Nuggets, the Knicks, the Warriors). This year, except the two first games, he shoots between 2 and 4 FT per game, meaning that he is not aggressive to the rim at all.
Wemby is currently shooting more than 90% at FT. Imagine if he would get 10 FT per game (that he could easily get with more drives to the rim), it would be 9 easy points for the Spurs every game.
Instead of very efficient plays, he keeps shooting 3's at will with 22%. I am pretty sure that he will manage to become a great 3-point shooter (all players with more than 90% at FT are/were great 3-point shooters) but he could work both sides of the game right now to bring some efficiency in the offensive of to the Spurs.

Or I missed something and the setup is a tanking year to get a very high first round pick... I wonder....
