I always found to cuts interesting, you can really see that the scenes they cut out were really helping the movie

Got to admit it, because this is Carpenter written and added material it’s the version I watch every Oct 31st (followed by part 2 straight after).

I saw this version a few years ago. These scenes are interesting if you have already seen the original edit, but they don't add much and only really pad out the runtime.

I felt the added scene with Loomis telling Michael you fooled them but not me doesn’t line up because in original he tells Bracket he spent a few years trying to reach him before he realized what Michael was

I believe he also had to make edits to the kill scene at the start. The eye holes on the clown mask were made narrower so it was harder to really see Michael stab his sister due to violence and nudity concerns.
