Totally agree about flippy screen. I have also the A1..I have issues where to put my hand on the side. I thought I was the only one hahaha

I like the fact that you can reverse the screen for protection if using the viewfinder or resting it on your belly and not getting caught on buttons and zippers. I hate the grips compared to the A mount cameras (curved and sit in the hands) and the grip is still too close to the lens if you have big hands or wear gloves. The rear AF toggle switch should also be longer for easy use

Just picked one up today with 35 1.4 coming from the a9ii, only shot very little today as I am just learning to shoot video and have always wanted a flip out screen, I still don’t understand all the terminology when it comes to video, but I will say this, the auto focus wowzers impressive… if it’s not everything a video camera should be I guess I will get the a7siii but I am very impressed so far.

Since a few days, I've been blown out by all the YouTube/creators propaganda about this camera; and yes, it's a great camera. But honest videos like this show that any camera has it's flaws and good things to point out. Thanks for keeping it real!

10 bit is a huge thing, so even if you don’t need more resolution, on the video side, you should upgrade from a7iii.

And even the bitrate of a7iv makes sense for this upgrade.

Totally agree the flip screen is not a perfect solution for every shooting situation, it's a compromise by itself and I hope manufacturers can improve it in the future.

I am using it most as a streamer for my work video conferences. It’s like 5 hours a day and it’s beautiful compared with the webcams. I am keeping my a6600 though.

Has the camera overheated on you in anyway?

There’s been plenty of reports of overheating issues with the A7IV.

100% on the screen thing. I was thinking the same thing 😉. In this day & age they have the tech to make that screen. Don't know why it hasn't been done. 🤞

What is the buffer like shooting in Uncompressed RAW using Dual SD Cards in UHS-II?

Feel you on the screen. Your description of what you want is exactly what I would want. It would add to the artfulness of the camera.

I'm having a video file issue with the Sony A7IV. Only some of the video clips some up when I plug my SD card into my laptop. The XAVC HS 4K clips can be seen and played. The XAVC S-I HD clips do not show up. I'm using a prograde V-90 card. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change? Thanks.

unpopular opinion, i hate the doors, with stuff plugged in you can't use the screen properly

does this camera have a horizon level line option for the screen? I use the Panasonic gh5 still and they have a level line and that is helpful. But looking to upgrade to FF Sony camera.

Question: How often do you use a flash in your real estate work? And is it usually on or off camera?
