With the way Joji fights it really feels like he trained Kashiwagi, who trained Nishiki and Kiryu, who probably inspired Daigo's fighting style

"Blood isn't what matters, though. Me and Kazama-san.. Our bond was far stronger than that."
"Show it to me then. Just how strong it was."
*enters stance*
"Now, Kazuma Kiryu.. We fight!"
*Joji Kazama*

You want Yakuza Kiwami 3 for improved gameplay and quality of life changes

I want Kiwami 3 so Joji, Richardson, and Lau Ka Long can get dynamic intros

We are not the same

Whenever I think about how Kiryu is still so strong in Infinite Wealth, I look back to Joji.

His extremely agile, extremely powerful cia agent uncle. Would’ve been wraps for Kiryu if he were any younger.

I really like this song because it gives off that vibe that this isn't just an intense fight, but a fight that's sorta hard for Kiryu because he can't help but think of Shintaro Kazuma as he fights Joji. I've always imagined the parts where the standalone guitar solos and violin or strings play as the part where Kiryu is trying hard to cope with this whole thing mentally and emotionally because Joji is the closest thing he has to Kazuma being alive and it hurts that he has to fight someone who is a splitting image of his foster father. And the the rhythm guitar coming back in with the power chords are Kiryu trying to slap himself back into reality knowing that this is a fight where he can't pull punches at all.

Yakuza 3 had a lot of issues, but when I hear those strings and see that amazing mid fight qte, I remember that Yakuza is Yakuza. Even in its early stages, it's still beautiful.

This fight always makes me wish we got a Shintaro Kazama fight

Look at how Kiryu throws his whole body into the punch during the QTE, he literally falls off the platform due to it, and Joji only stumbles, he's such a badass and i miss him so much

Fun Fact: As of LAD Pirate Yakuza, Majima will now be 60 years old. Sharing the same age as Joji at the time of Yakuza 3.

Our old guys are tough asf.

Yakuza 3 has its faults but this boss fight is legitimately the feel good moment of the game, like it's balanced and he doesn't block your every move making this very enjoyable along with Mine and Richardson fights imo

The whole song is amazing, but when 2:16 hits, it elevates this song to a top 5 best Yakuza/Like A Dragon boss theme. There's nothing quite like it in the franchise.

I actually cried during this fight.

I know Yakuza 3 is flawed, but story wise it’s one of my favorites of the series and it made me actually love Kiryu as a character whereas before I only liked him.

I hope that if we ever did get a Kazama prequel, we get to see Joji again. It’d be a great chance to flesh out a forgotten character, give his relationship with Kazama the full 0 treatment.

Hell. Imagine a final battle Shintaro vs Joji with a remix of this theme? Like Joji choosing to walk the dark path of assassination and Kazama choosing his own dark path, the Yakuza life, a battle of ideals between two brothers both steeped in darkness.

the final few battles with majima, Lau, joji, tamashiro, Richardson and Mine were really good

jumping the shark or not, the fight is good, the theme slaps and the conversation afterwards is as chill as it gets, so i'll take it
