War Thunder Update 2.5 Ixwa Strike Aircraft Gun Sounds
Показать описание
UPD: The sounds have been tweaked/reworked almost every minor update, so there's no such a point to remake the video. Sorry about that. :(
Maybe after a few patches (2.7 or 2.9 or later) I'll redo the video with the sounds again.
UPD2: Wow, thank you for multiple thousand views in this video! I guess ingame sounds is a very important topic for people. But on the other side, it is kinda sad that very few people watch my kill montages :( I put more physical and inspirational effort into them...
Here you can find and listen to new weapon shooting sounds which were changed in update 2.5 "Ixwa Strike" (wtf is that name xd)
In general, I like new sounds (especially explosion and hit sounds), guns are more atmospheric, surround. High caliber guns sound very good, powerful. Every shot has it's own sound (there is no more pre-recorded shooting sound with specific rate of fire)
But in my honest opinion, it lacks diversity. Different machine guns sound very similar to each other (while old sounds were iconic due to different tone of shooting). I think sound designers should revamp gun sounds to be more different, despite making less realistic (Breda-SAFAT shouldn't sound the same as M2 Browning). Also, I'm dissapointed with 12.7 mm Browning and 20 mm MG 151 sounds, they don't have the "power" and distinction. Another problem is that guns with very high rate of fire (M3 Browning, ShKAS, etc.) don't sound like they are spraying 1000+ bullets per minute. They need to sound more like BRRRRRRT, not Bt-Bt-Bt-Bt :DD
Sorry if I missed one or another gun sound, I tried to put as many sounds as possible.
I did not record helicopter gun sounds, because I don't have them :(
TIMESTAMPS:
0:00 MG's 7.5 - 8 mm
4:32 Heavy MG's 12.7 - 13.2 mm
7:51 Cannons 20 - 23 mm
15:53 Heavy Cannons 30 mm
18:38 Big Guns 37 - 40 mm
22:05 Anti Tank Guns 45 mm or greater
Headphone use is recommended for better sound distinction.
Thank you for attention!
