My favorite place to be? A hardware store! I am not kidding!! I love tools and with this video I want to start a new series on how I do restoration videos. Don't worry! I will still do wilderness survival videos as well. Give me a like if you want to see more videos like this! Thanks. Lilly

Great old school skills! Nice job! Most people now would just toss it and buy a new one for some low amount of money. Glad to see someone out there doing things differently!

Lilly... What a beautiful addition to your outdoor survival series. Too many people like to throw anything away and buy a new one. That is something that is terribly wrong in today's world. I like old things... Tools, cars, machinery... I really enjoy browsing through junk stores (today called antique malls) and finding old tools, etc., and refurbishing them and putting them back in working order. Thank you for starting this channel. I will definitely be subscribing. More, please.

Am a retired Tool & Die Maker, love your upright drill press to lathe setup. Ingenious. Nice job on the handle, too!

Nice move with the burning twine, hadn't seen that one before.

Hey Lily, love this content. I know it won’t please all of your survival followers, but there are plenty of us out here who restore old tools and machinery, and this is a vital set of skills for survival.

Thinking on the fly. WOW. This type of thinking is what made this world. People looking at a problem and then making it work. Nice Lilly nice.

I can't tell you how much I really loved this video.. My mind was blown when you turned your drill press into a wood lathe. I was thinking you may paint the metal but just keeping it oiled will stop rust. Great job. I would love to see you working in your little shop more often.

I really like the new handle and how you made it. Great Job . You’re a very talented person. Now does Dad get his screwdriver back ? Lol

Lily, the screwdriver is beautiful and restored to usefulness. Your Dad’s tools and shop are good quality, and I think he did a great job inspiring and teaching you. I’m old and getting a bit binked myself, but can still be of use, and I’d rather restore a tool than throw it away, in gratitude for it’s life time of service. I loved your use of what looked like a drill press as a lathe for the handle! Well done, kindred spirit!

It's obvious you're familiar with the electrolytic cell. The next step up would be to plate the screwdriver. Electroplating can be fun to! Good job. A great video! And yes turning the drill into a lathe blew me away also. That's just absolute genius.

I absolutely love it!!! I love restoring tools myself, I still need a few more pieces of equipment, but I do what I can. Thanks Superwoman!!!

Wow Lilly. I am speechless. That screwdriver just went from rusty and damaged to looking completely new from the store. That was amazing. I just hope you do more building primitive survival weapons or maybe even creating your own survival weapon. That would be so cool. But thanks for these vids, they are very enjoyable.

I really dont like throwing things away because some part of it is broken that can be fixed with a little effort. While many may say this is a waste of time, I totally appreciate the recycling aspect of what you have done. Great skills demonstrated, thank you for the video.

Excellent restoration.

Would certainly like to see more like this from you.

Your dad is never going to see that screwdriver again, is he? If it were me I wouldn’t mind ... tools are meant to be passed along.

Lilly, you are truly an artist! I love tools also. Watching you restore your father's old rusty broken handle screwdriver was emotionally very powerful for me. That screwdriver is not just restored, it's beautiful piece of handcrafted art. You are clever, creative, intelligent, and skilled. I would love to watch a series of restoration videos that you create! Good health and happiness to you and everyone you love; hugs and kisses for the dogs.
