Really impressed with how the Pixies have just picked up where they left off with Trompe le Monde, when I heard Indie Cindy was coming out I wasn't expecting much as most bands have their peak but then fade into mediocrity, especially when there's a long break from their last LP. But I was pleasantly surprised just how good it was, their 2 other LPs since have continued that momentum. I think that's what separates the truly great bands from the good: consistency through longevity.
Love this tune.

I didn't really give their new albums much of a chance but recently have listened more closely and these albums are actually good even if they seem to be somewhat trying to recapture the original flavor of the pixies instead of maybe a new direction for the band which would suit their current mindset and be more authentic. But then again I'm just assuming that their current stuff doesn't capture their current attitudes so maybe that's just my perspective. Their new albums are truly worth checking out!
