One thing that really bugged me are the first episodes and lack of the payoff from those, going to Krill Space and the dark areas, when they got that clearance, I hoped they would study new areas of space, but they skidaddle, understandably, after the virus-thing. It was just never mentioned afterwards and they just forgot that they need to explore new areas in Krill occupied territory they knew nothing of, you don't need to go to "no-fly" zone to have an interesting plot

My one regret with this show is that we'll never have a Gelatinous "Yaphit" species representative speak about the two reasons their species joined this "Union". To have intercourse in exchange for cash and to protect their rights as a Gelatinous species. He'll never get a chance to strongly disagree and eventually lament that, instead of standing up, he stood down when he heard about the atrocities of the Moclan Empire. Finally, this'a "Union" established regulations that the Gelatinous folk were to be forced to wash their private areas between missions. Their Private Areas!
