Amazing content, thanks very much. This was the method I was looking for (https + free domain + ddns)
I can say that being able to do these things is like a superpower to me, and at the same time it is so easy to learn them. So far I've realized there are multiple ways to solving remote homeserver connection (without static IP and without paying for a domain): using DDNS and free domain, SSH tuneling, or just using onion routing addresses. Thanks again, and thanks youtube!

Great video! Want to add that many routers have a section called DDNS that does the job of updating the IP address on DDNS provider without the cron configuration on the server

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have nextcloud on my server and dynu pointing to my home IP (I manually typed it in) fortunately it hasn't changed in 6 mounts. I don't have have the sites-available directory, so looks like I need to watch your tutorials with Apache. I use nextcloud daily for school and I want my cockpit web interface accessable. I'm not sure if I can cancel my SSL certificate for nextcloud. Bit warden looks cool, I'll try that too. I also run Plex and both Minecraft java and bedrock servers, so this is a busy computer. I'm sitting at 90GB of RAM usage.

Hey dude, thanks for the videos, you're way clearer than most tech YouTubers (esp. in the home server niche ahahah).
Just curious, you never made the follow-up video to this one, did you?

Very helpful video. Question: What is the difference between installng DDNS on a computer vs the router?

This is excellent! Thank you for sharing this! It’s exactly what I needed! One question however, how can I do this via powershell on a windows server?

Hi, I have setup the same for ipv6 and i keep getting dns_probe_error. The browsers keep looking for A record instead of finding the AAAA record next. What should be done? Please help.

Great video on remote access ! ! Do you have any tips on best method and practices (and the most secure) to remote connect to the Proxmox VE Server Web console UI without connection going through some sort of central pipe, like VPN or Cloudflare or such. I want to connect to my Proxmox Web UI remotely as I travel a lot and don't want messy subscriptions either.

Hi, I was wondering how to remotely access a server I use on the road that I connect to the internet via mobile hotspot. So, my setup is mobile hotspot>wireless to ethernet adapter>my device (only accepts ethernet port) Since my mobile hotspot does not provide a static public IP address, how could I use this method to get access? Thanks

Hello Roman. Following your series my home network work great EXCEPT that I am unable to access Nextcloud with the URL provided by the DynDNS using a computer within my home network (or even the IP address associated to the URL). I can still access it using the local IP address or I can access it with 4G or from another network. Do you have an idea what could cause this

Hi guys, any idea how to overcome the issue that dynamic DNS is not trusted very much. For example my company network blacklists the DYNU domain name and IP probably because its dynamic. So I cannot reach my bitwarden from my work...

It seems that your ISP doesn't block the port 80 of your home server's IP address, ami I right? This kind of ISPs are hard to come by, usually they don't allow 80 or 443.
