In 2021, the Toronto Maple Leafs & The Montreal Canadiens faced off in the NHL playoffs for the first time in over 40 years. Featuring superstars like Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews, Carey Price, & Cole Caufield, this series gave us a moment that we would never forget.

Carey's "I believe in this team" speech after game 4 was the turning point for Montreal. Price, Weber and Perry took the team under them from there and they almost carried all the way to a cup.

Montreal was on a roll then. We almost witnessed a miracle

Babe wake up, hockey psychology posted a video that reignited my depression

As a die hard Habs fan, I can confirm that the team brought our city back to life in the spring of 2021. Covid lockdowns were particularily tough in Québec and that run gave us the morale booster our people needed. To this day it’s my favortie hockey moment, ever.

Great video as always 👏🏼

When Montreal beat Toronto in game seven it was one of the best days of my life at work, because when Montreal was down 3-1, the chirps I had from coworkers was insane, but when Montreal came back an won, there were guys who avoided me for months, I don’t think I’ve ever woken up from a deep sleep with so much energy

That whole post season was absolutely wild for Habs;
40 years since last time against the leafs, Tavares incident, the hit on Evans in the Jets first game, 4-0 against the jets, Petry’s blood shot eyes, the crazy give away from Fleury, the win on National day…

Thank you for the video!

Omg thank you for covering this. I am not a Montreal fan, but always admired Prices abilities going back to 2014 Olympics run. Brings a tear to your eye how close they got to a cup. That man played his heart out. The entire team really did.

Thanks for the shoutout man. It was a pleasure! :)
I remember I first started watching this series after Game 4, and I started watching Game 7 just before the goal at 11:54 ...so I guess it's all my fault XD

Can't believe Price never won a cup that man deserved one

Such a shame Price's career was cut short by injuries, that man was spectacular to watch play

The fact Amazon streamed the series and kept it up forever made it that much sweeter. The expected coronation turned into a coronary. Still have it all on a few NAS hard drives. If they die its also on news servers, merci beaucoup, Toronto

As a habs fan this series is by far my favorite series of all time and I'm old enough to have seen them win the cup twice

This is the most beautiful series of all time, the world was good that day

Even as a Bruins fan I gotta admit I wish the Canadiens won this cup. Would’ve been great to see Carey Price finally get over the hump, but the injury bug hit the Habs at the worst possible time

I am so excited for the upcoming season, just got into hockey this January

It still breaks my heart that we couldn't win the stanley cup with Carey Price, the best goaltender in this past generation and one of the only goaltenders to win the Hart trophy.

Watching this series shaved a few years from my life but was so worth it. Everything past the round 1 win over Toronto was just a bonus.

Probably the greatest moments in my Habs fan life. (I'm 25 so missed the golden days)

When they light the CN Tower in the colours of the team that beat you, that’s how you know you committed one of the worst chokes in NHL history. I still have nightmares about this series, the Raptors had just won the championship 2 years ago and the Leafs alone in the years since destroyed any joy and pride the city had earned in sports. If I were to point to an example on why the Leafs are the single most pathetic organization in sports, this is it.

But if the last few days have taught us anything there’s more to life than just sports, cherish your loved ones and live your life to the fullest. RIP Johnny and Matthew ❤🕊️
