The phrase wasn’t just a one-off reference. In the novel The Rising Storm, Jedi archivist OrbaLin thought the phrase when he battled the Nihil Tempest Runner, Lourna Dee. These subtle mentions hint that Surik’s legacy endured, remembered by the Jedi Order thousands of years after her death.

I just figured most of the EU Old Republic stories are still Canon to current Star wars continuity as unless it's been officially retcon it can easily fit into it with play some changes.
