In the heat of the Mandalorian Wars, Meetra Surik made a fateful decision. She defied the Jedi Council, choosing to fight alongside Revan and Malak. Her crucial efforts in their victory came at a steep cost: she severed her own connection to the Force. But that was part of the Legends timeline. How did she find her way into Disney’s Star Wars canon? In the second issue of Star Wars: The High Republic comic series, Trandoshan Jedi Master Sskeer shouted the exclamation, “Surik’s blade!” while he and fellow Jedi Terec were under attack by a Nihil marauder. The phrase wasn’t just a one-off reference. In the novel The Rising Storm, Jedi archivist OrbaLin thought the phrase when he battled the Nihil Tempest Runner, Lourna Dee. These subtle mentions hint that Surik’s legacy endured, remembered by the Jedi Order thousands of years after her death.

I just figured most of the EU Old Republic stories are still Canon to current Star wars continuity as unless it's been officially retcon it can easily fit into it with play some changes.
