"Killing Me Softly with His Song" composed by Charles Fox with lyrics by Norman Gimbel is a song that has been covered by many artists. Roberta Flack, Fugees with Lauryn Hill on lead vocals are the two most well known versions.

I have transcribed Rune Gustafsson´s instrumental version of the song and it's included in his album "Killing me softly" released 1973. He played with musicians as Niels Henning Orsted Pedersen, Red Mitchell, Cornelis Vreeswijk, Putte Wickman, Arne Domnérus, Jan Johansson, Jimmy Woode, Bjarne Nerem, Jan Allan among many others. For me he is a great inspiration and I met and played with him and he was a great person to both play and talk with.

This is a true work of art. Such a lovely rendition. I like how it's more bluesy; how the solo lines flow through and enhance the melody, taking the song somewhere beyond the original whilst never straying too far from the core.
