I played ice hockey till i was 40 years old. My back couldnt take it any more. Broke my nose about 5 times from pucks, sticks and elbows. Unintentionally blocked a slapshot with my left hand and it blew out a hole on the inside of my ring finger. It hurt pretty bad but i didnt even know i was bleeding until one of the refs blew the whistle and told me i was bleeding. Went to the bench asked the kid keeping score if there was a med kit in his box. He said no so i asked my buddys girlfriend to go in my bag and grab some tape and some paper towels. I cleaned it, taped it up and went back into the game. Todays nba players are straight up wimps and have no love for the game. I always played hard because i cant stand losing. Not even in a game of 52 pick up. Laziness is a sign of not caring enough to try harder.
