Northern operate most local services to destinations including: Chester, Southport, Wigan, Clitheroe, Bolton, Stalybridge, Rochdale, Blackburn and Leeds. NT services are operated using a mix of Class: 150, 156, 158, 195 Diesel Multiple Units and Class 769 Diesel Electric Multiple Units.

TransPennine Express services operate towards: Liverpool Lime Street, Leeds, York, Saltburn and Newcastle using a mix of Class 185 Diesel Multiple Units and also Class 800-802 Diesel Electric Multiple Units.
